And, we don’t expect that you will always agree, either. But we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and we agree to humbly approach God’s Word so we can better understand it together.

The Religion Business, a seven-part investigative documentary by Nathan Apffel and Chris Ayoub, examines corruption, financial secrecy, and ethical failures in megachurches and prosperity gospel ministries. It explores issues such as religious fraud, lack of accountability, extravagant spending by religious leaders, tax-loopholes for churches, and how donors are impacted by opaque financial practices.
In our review, we’ll discuss the strongest arguments the film makes about churches and finances as well as examine parts we believe are over-generalized or under-substantiated.
